What the Settimana is

A week when São Paulo sits down to dinner with all 20 regions of Italy

Held every year by the Consulate General of Italy in São Paulo, the Settimana della Cucina Regionale Italiana reaches its 15th edition. For seven days, 20 chefs coming straight from Italy cook in 20 São Paulo restaurants, each one representing one of the country's 20 regions.

The chefs create the menus together with each restaurant's team, inspired by “mangiare all’italiana” — eating the Italian way, in four courses: antipasto, first course, second course and dessert. The menus are served at lunch and dinner, and guests choose between a three-step circuit or the complete menu.

This edition's theme

Cucina italiana, Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

In December 2025, UNESCO inscribed cucina italiana on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity — the first time an entire national cuisine, rather than a single dish or product, has received this recognition.

“A title that does not celebrate a single dish or region, but the Italian way of being at the table — with family, with time and with the land.”

Mauro CampanellaConsul General of Italy in São Paulo

Map of the Settimana

20 regions · 20 chefs · 20 restaurants

During the week, each participating restaurant acts as the “embassy” of an Italian region in São Paulo. At Terraço Itália, that region is Piemonte.

The restaurants are selected by the Consulate General of Italy in São Paulo and by Gerardo Landulfo, the Accademia Italiana della Cucina's delegate in Brazil.
